Biology Student STEAM project

Upper School Biology II students participated in a "Nature did STEAM first" project this week. Biology teacher Jill Iuliano says, “In thinking about STEAM activities for Biology, it occurred to me that there are some amazing STEAM projects that nature has been doing for a long time, such as spider webs. Students read about webs and viewed a TED talk and watched actual spiders make webs on YouTube. While watching the webs being made, the narrator used terms such as design and measure in describing the process.”
