BIPOC Alumni Forum

We have heard from many of our BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color) alumni in response to the racially charged incidents that have taken place in our country in recent months. Many of you have let us know that your Brimmer experience fell short of our stated Core Values and commitment to equity. We received these stories with humility, gratitude, and profound understanding. As we work toward creating a truly equitable community and shift away from practices that have reinforced institutional bias and anti-Black racism. We welcome your reflections about your time at Brimmer, and we want to hear more from our BIPOC alumni.

To that end, we sincerely hope that our BIPOC alumni will join us on December 1. This forum will be hosted and facilitated by Director of Equity and Inclusion, Jessica Christian, and Lawrence Alexander, who is consulting with Brimmer in DEI work for the 2020-2021 academic year. This event is being offered specifically to our BIPOC alumni, and we invite and encourage any alumni who identify as BIPOC to join us that evening. Please RSVP by November 30 to Director of Alumni Affairs Amanda Frank. Once an RSVP is received, a Zoom link will be sent.

Please read this Letter to our alumni from our Director of Equity & Inclusion.
