Jake Fay '13 Wins Film Award

Jake Fay's '13 directorial debut film, "The Process," was awarded Best Feature at the Massachusetts Independent Film Festival. The film, which depicts the underground Lynn hip-hop scene, has also received nominations from the Orlando Film Festival, the Urban Media Makers Film Festival, the Urban Film Festival (nominated for Best Urban Feature), and the Massachusetts Independent Film Festival (nominated for Best Actor, Best Directing, Best Cinematography, Best New England film, and Best Feature). Creative Arts Diploma students had the opportunity to speak with Jake about his work and current projects when he visited campus in September 2019 (pictured here).
 
After graduating from Brimmer, Jake attended Fordham University and then transferred to the University of Hartford, where he majored in cinematography, writing, and directing and played Division 1 basketball. He went on to receive an MBA from the University of the Virgin Islands.
