Oh, the Places You’ll Go - 2016

The 2016 “Oh, the Places You’ll Go” Auction was a great success, raising over $100,00. All proceeds will be used for financial aid and professional development in all three divisions of the School. In the Fund-a-Need portion of the live auction, we successfully raised enough money to purchase 6 laptops for the Lower School Design Center, 6 laptops for the Reenstierna Library and Writing Center, and 10 iPads for financial aid students and classroom loaners.

Thank to the Auction bidders, donors, volunteers, and supporters who made the event extremely successful! Thank you especially to Auction Gala Co-Chairs, Lisanne Kandiah, Jessica Purdy, and Erika Siegal. We could not have done it without you and the entire Auction Committee! The energy in the room was fantastic, and Auctioneer Bill Jacob did a phenomenal job keeping the bids coming in as he entertained the crowd!

Head of School Judith Guild honored Maintenance Supervisor Bob Annese for his 33 years of service saying, “Bob has cared for our School as though it is his own home and as if his own family lives within it. Even as our campus expanded to include the additional five building, another playing field and field house, and systems that became increasingly complex (with computer generated parts), Bob keeps it all running smoothly. He does this with an unflappable loyalty to our School. . . . He has coordinated thousands of events each year. Just this year alone we have held 250 events, and we are still counting! This involves managing the cleaning, set up, kitchen needs, and evening crew. Bob has been instrumental in creating our 10-year deferred maintenance plan and executing the various projects, and he manages all the details that keep our campus up to date and in good repair. He coordinates his own team each day and manages outside contractors who are involved with very difficult complex building and restoration projects.”  Judy thanked Bob for his commitment to Brimmer, and the speech ended with a standing ovation in Bob’s honor.
