LS Diversity Night

The Lower School ran the show at Community Diversity Night on April 6, 2017. The evening began with a delicious meal, served by the Lower School Diversity Committee. Students were encouraged to visit the map at the front of the Dining Room and pin their favorite places to visit, where their family was from, or a place they want to visit in the future. Once the location was pinned, students then filled out post-it notes explaining why those locations were special to them. Students placed pins all over the globe! The night proceeded with poetry readings by Lower School students Liesel Gartner '26, Ginger Biederman '26, and Reggie Hesselbein '26, and Daniel Murray '23 recited original poetry/prose. After the readings, students, faculty, and staff created poems of their own and were encouraged to read them aloud at the podium. It was a great time for all!
