Brimmer Mourns Passing of Robert Almy

It is with sadness that we report the passing of Robert (Bob) Almy, former Brimmer Board of Trustees Chair and father of Brimmer alumna and current Trustee Leslie Stimmel Guggiari ’73. Bob was a trusted and respected trustee and a remarkable Board Chair during an important time in Brimmer’s history, joining the Board in 1968 and serving as Chair from 1969-1978. Well beyond his years on the Board, he continued to be a strong supporter of the School and its mission, an adviser, and dear friend to many. People laughed and felt valued in Bob’s presence. His love for our School was genuine and deep. He treasured his family above all else, and we all admired how much he committed himself to the places that mattered the most to them.

 

In memory of his long-standing commitment to funding young people who could otherwise not attend Brimmer, his family is establishing the Robert B. Almy Jr. Scholarship Fund.
