Meet the Fall Coaches!

We are excited to begin the 2019 fall sports season and look forward to an amazing year.  Below you will find information about our coaches. Their experience and expertise is amazing and will benefit our athletes tremendously.
 
Varsity Boys Soccer Coach – Chris Hardman
Coach Hardman has 23 years of high school coaching experience, and he has coached the Varsity Boys Soccer Team for the last 18 years. The team has qualified for the MBIL playoffs in every season that he has coached the team, making it to the championship game 5 times, and winning it once in 2012. The team has also been invited to the NEPSAC tournament 5 times under his leadership, including in each of the last 3 years.
 
Varsity Boys Soccer Assistant Coach – Stew Tracy
Coach Tracy played collegiate soccer at UMass Boston and currently plays in several leagues in the Metro Boston area. He has been coaching at Brimmer for the last 6 years and has been the assistant coach of the Varsity Boys Soccer Team for the last 5 years.
 
Varsity Girls Soccer Coach – Mallorie Nai
Coach Nai received her B.A. in psychology, with a minor in education and athletic coaching at Western New England University in Springfield, MA. During her time at Western New England University, Mallorie was a four-year member of the women's soccer team.  Coach Nai has now coached Varsity Girls Soccer, Middle School Basketball, Middle School Softball along with working in the Admissions Office and teaching history. 
 
Varsity Girls Soccer Assistant Coach – Darè Adesoji
Coach Darè has experience coaching boys and girls soccer in Brookline and Chestnut Hill.  Most recently, he led the Brookline Boys Grade 7/8 Team to win their division. His philosophy for coaching soccer is to teach young players how to be better players on the field and be better human beings off the field. He looks forward to this opportunity with Brimmer and to continue a standard of excellence for the soccer program.
 
JV Boys Soccer Coach – Jack Carenza
Coach Carenza brings experience as a private soccer tutor and youth soccer coach to Brimmer's Boys JV team.  He was a 4-year player at Norwich Free Academy, which was ranked as high as #12 in the nation during his time on the team.  Coach Carenza combines a strong tactical knowledge of the sport with a youthful love for soccer and the lessons on teamwork and creativity it teaches.  Outside of coaching, he is a preschool teacher in West Newton.   
 
Middle School Boys Soccer Coach – Christian Stratter
Coach Stratter is an excellent, strategic coach. He is knowledgeable in a plethora of sports, currently serving as head coach of Varsity Lacrosse, Varsity II Boys Basketball, and now adds Middle School Boys Soccer to the list.  He has a great demeanor which allows him to get the most out of his players. 
 
Middle School Girls Soccer – Emma Piscitelli
Last year, Coach Piscitelli was the Varsity Girls Assistant Coach and specialized in goalkeeping.  This year she takes over as Head Coach of the Middle School Girls and will still help in developing our goalkeepers.  Coach Piscitelli also coached Middle School Basketball.
 
Cross Country Girls Coach – Ted Barker-Hook
Ted Barker-Hook has coached at Brimmer since 1998.  He has numerous League Championships and has taken the Cross-Country program to be one of the most competitive in the League. He works hard to combine the Middle School and Upper School programs into one cohesive team.
 
Cross Country Boys Coach – Paul Brauchle
Coach Brauchle joined the Orono High School (MN) cross country team as a seventh grader. He gradually climbed the ranks and as a senior led the team to their first appearance at the Minnesota state tournament. Additionally, while he was on the cross country and track teams, Orono logged wins in various Conference championships. Paul was a three-season varsity athlete at Wesleyan University (CT) in cross-country, and indoor and outdoor track and field, where he specialized in the 800m and the mile. Last year, Paul helped coach the Brimmer Varsity Girls Cross-Country team to the first-ever MBIL championship. This will be his second-year coaching cross country at Brimmer.
 
Middle School Cross Country Coach – Tom Nelson
Coach Nelson is currently our Varsity Boys Basketball Coach.  He has coached at Brimmer since 2011. He has produced 14 scholarship athletes and numerous all-league players including, in 2018 the Massachusetts Gatorade Player of the year. This summer ran over 200 miles to prepare for this upcoming cross-country season. 
 
Club Field Hockey – Alexandra Morey
Coach Morey has spent the last few seasons building the field hockey program.  She’s been able to blend middle school and upper school students seamlessly together to learn the game and enjoy it. Coach Morey was a standout field hockey goalie for Franklin & Marshall College. Her team made three appearances in the DIII NCAA Tournament. In 2014, she earned the most shutouts recorded in a single season. Coach Morey has also been the Assistant Coach for the Varsity Girls Lacrosse team and coach of the Middle School Girls Basketball team.
