Brimmer picks up first win of the season

The varsity boys soccer team earned their first win of the season 5 - 0 over Marie Philip at Orr Field. The Gators came out of the gates fast and had a four goal lead with less than ten minutes on the clock. Goals came for Tristan Durocher ’21, captain Olivier Khorasani ’20, and two for senior rookie Charlie Marconi ’20. With a comfortable lead, it gave the bench players extended minutes and some valuable game experience. The Gators controlled the pace of the game and largely kept possession of the ball in the Marie Philip half of the field. The opponents were kept to a few counter attacks that were dealt with smoothly by Brimmer’s defense lead by captains MilesMunkacy ’20and Paxton Wong ’20, and goal keeper Joseph Bahhady ’21. The Gators’ fifth and final goal, came from Kevin Wen ’20just before half time. Brimmer dominated the second half, but some offensive miscues and excellent goal keeping from the Marie Philip’s goalie combined to prevent the Gators from adding to their lead.

The Gators are back in action on Tuesday 9/17 when they travel to league rivals Boston Trinity.
