Gators back to their winning ways

The Gators traveled to Weston, MA to wrap the final game of their three-game week. After a tough loss to Montrose, on Wednesday, the Gators came fired up to finish out a long week. Three minutes into the first half Stephanie Cranmore 21’ found the back of the net on and unassisted goal. Shortly after Kaylee Little 23’ placed a ball past the CSW goalkeeper off a beautiful pass from Elisabeth Fitzgerald 22’. After battling injuries all season, Molly McHugh 21’ was finally back to her healthy self again and proved that by putting on away with about 13 minutes left in the first half. Molly McHugh 21’ would then go on to assist one of Elisabeth Fitzgerald’s 22’ two goals to wrap up the first half making the score 5-0. The second half was under way and the Gators continued the scoring. Hannah Ahearn 20’, Kaylee Little 23’, Tahina Trias-Lizama 22’, Elisabeth Fitzgerald 22’ and Angeline Nur Dervisevic 21’ all put one away for the Gators. Hannah Ahearn 20’ contributed to the second half scoring with two assists. Breanna Durand 20’, Hanna Spivak 20’, Iris Bishins 22’, Emma Guevara 23’ and Katarina Klacko 21’ played excellent defense for Gators. Claire Masterson 20’ contributed to the Gator’s 10-0 win with four saves also earning her first shutout of the season. The Gators improve to 4-1 and look forward to hosting another home game on Wednesday October 2nd, against Chapel Hill Chauncy Hall.
