Beijing Film Crew Captures Winterim

Our Winterim program to China last March was followed by a Beijing film production crew during their 8-day experiential learning trip. Friends of trip leader Ms. Fremont-Smith, the production crew provided their services free of charge to Brimmer. They became so engaged with our students that they decided to put together a full-length feature film complete with cartoon characters of each student. They were excited to showcase what our students were experiencing working with pandas at the Conservation Center in Cheng Du and with a local farm family near Beijing, completing a scavenger hunt in the Forbidden City, and learning the intricacies of cooking and bargaining. Each day ended with a reflection of what they had accomplished, and the trip ended with a Thankful Ceremony where everyone shared why they were thankful for the person sitting next them. Rich in content, the film truly brings to life the experiences our students had on their Winterim program.
