Gators with a comfortable win

The varsity boys soccer team continued their winning ways with a comfortable 5 - 1 win over the Cambridge School of Weston. The Gators dominated possession and the tempo of the game from the kickoff with excellent play from the midfield trio of Olivier Khorasani ’20, Tristan Durocher ’21, and Theo Pellman ‘22. However, it took until midway through the first half before they finally took the lead. The first goal was an own goal that came when Sevak Glorikian ’23 sent a low cross across the face of goal, which was deflected by a CSW defender into the bottom corner. Less than one minute from the restart, CSW had tied the game with a goal on the counterattack. Sevak then put on a striker’s clinic and earned his first varsity hat trick. He scored two in the first half and the third was scored in the first ten minutes of the second half. Tristan added the fifth and final goal for the Gators with a great individual effort. With the game sewn up, the bench players took over the game and continued to control possession of the ball, but they could not quite find the breakthrough needed to increase the lead.
