Gators with Convincing Win at Homecoming

The varsity boys soccer team kept up their momentum with a 6 - 0 win over Bradford Christian. The homecoming game was played in beautiful conditions in front of a good sized crowd on Orr Field. The Gators dominated the game from start to finish, but found scoring to be a challenge in the first half. Brimmer’s only goal of the half was scored by Owen Williams ’23, who hit a great shot that hit the inside of the near post and went into the goal. In the second half, the Gators were rewarded for their continued attacking play with three goals in the first ten minutes. Charlie Marconi ’20 scored from close range after Brian Barrera ’22 put him through. Tristan Durocher ‘21 then hit a highlight reel shot into the top corner from just outside of the eighteen yard box. Tristan then turned provider and played Sevak Glorikian ’23 through on goal, and has he has done all season, Sevak put the ball into the back of the net. The fifth goal was an own goal that came from a menacing cross delivered by Tristan to where several Brimmer player were waiting, but before it got to them is was deflected into the goal. The Gator’s final goal of the contest was scored by Theo Pellman ’22, which marked his first goal for the varsity team. Brimmer continued to dominate the game and came close to adding more goals, including a Stephen Moreno ’20 penalty kick that hit the right post, but in the end it was 6 - 0.
