Big win over league opponent CCA

The Gators came ready to play on Tuesday versus league opponent Covenant Christian Academy.  After winning the tap, the Gators scored the first basket, with a big three-pointer by Ariella Heffron ’23.   The three-pointer was followed up by a pair of free throws by Angeline Nur Dervisevic ’21 to put the Gators up 5-0 to start the game.  The Cougars fought back to make it a 5-4 game.  Marianne Alagos ’21 scored three huge baskets along with a basket from Molly McHugh ’21 to put the Gators up 13-6 going into the second quarter.  The Gators continued scoring and making defensive stops in the second quarter.  Going into the half Brimmer lead 24-9.  The Gators continued the same trend in the third quarter when Emma Guevera ‘23 scored her first basket of the season.  The Cougars started to go on a run during the fourth quarter, but the Gators held them off to win their second game of the season.  The next game is home on Friday, December 13th versus Bradford Christian Academy at 4:15pm.
