Greenline's Powerful Virtual Performance

Another powerful memory from the final weeks of the school year was Greenline's virtual performance of "Nine Hundred Miles," an American folk song that embraces deep feelings of sadness and uncertainty. Middle & Upper School Choral Director Scott Koven shared, "Rather than shy away from [the difficult emotions], our singers dug in and reflected on why it’s important to sing sad music when you’re sad. I couldn’t be more proud of their authenticity, and I hope their performance helps you reflect on some of the challenges we’ve all faced, while simultaneously bringing you joy from being able to see them perform."

Many thanks to Catherine Leeder '20, who provided technical and audio editing assistance as part of her senior project, and Media Art Teacher Christian Kiley for the beautiful video.
