Big Day for the Gators on Homecoming

The 2021 Homecoming game, against Bradford Christian Academy, was played at Orr Field in front of a large home crowd that provided a great atmosphere. The Gators earned a lopsided victory over a team that played hard, but was clearly overmatched. The Gators dominated all areas of the game and won 10-2. Sevak Glorikian earned his second hat-trick in as many games, Anson Mancebo bagged a brace (scored 2 goals in soccer parlance), and rookies Will Apen and Julian Park scored their first goals at the Varsity level. Having played goalkeeper in the first half, Theo Johnson played the field in the second half and scored a header from an Anson Mancebo corner kick, which was the first headed goal of the season for the Gators. The Gator’s bench was able to earn themselves plenty of valuable playing experience and kept the crowd entertained for the remainder of the game. The Gators will hope to keep the momentum going when they host Commonwealth at Mt Ida in a league game on Monday with kickoff set for 4:15pm.
