Student wins EF Global Citizen Scholarship

Victoria Smith '14 has won an EF Global Citizen Scholarship and will be traveling to Berlin this July. EF Tours awards Global Citizen Scholarship annually to high school students dedicated to promoting global awareness. Recipients of the 2012 Global Citizen Scholarship will enjoy the opportunity of a lifetime: a free educational tour to Berlin designed to unite students around the world. To become an EF Global Citizen, freshmen, sophomores and juniors create a video, digital media project, or essay that responds to the following questions:

• What defines your identity as a Global Citizen?
• In today’s increasingly interconnected world, people, cities and nations are all in search of identity. Describe your identity. What defines who you are? How do you express your identity as a citizen of the world? How would experiencing an educational tour to Berlin shape your identity as a Global Citizen?
