Alum Makes Appearance on National TV Show!

Anthony DiNicola '03, winner of numerous Brimmer and May Academy Awards, appeared on NBC's Chicago Fire in January. He is pursuing his acting career in Chicago. He writes:

"I have been acting in Chicago for over five years, doing mostly theatre work, but over the last couple of years I have started dipping my toes in the television, commercial, and film acting realm. I have appeared in a few commercials, and recently starred as a lead role in the independent feature film Between Western and California.

I landed the role on Chicago Fire through an audition set up by my agent Maryann Ziesch at Actors Talent Group. As any working actor knows there are far more rejections than bookings, so I was so pleased that it only took me four rejections for previous roles to book a co-starring slot as a 'sassy orderly' on the show! I had one line in the audition, but since I got a laugh from the director and a producer they gave me a second line. They even kept my extra cheeky eye roll in the final edit! It was a very pleasant experience, and since it is a 'potentially reoccurring role' I pray to be back on the show.

Up next I will be getting back to my theatre roots in Measure for Measure at the Goodman Theatre, directed by the Tony Award winning director Robert Falls."
