Passport to the World - 2015

The Passport to the World Auction was a great success, raising approximately $90,000. All proceeds will be used for financial aid, STEAM programming, and classroom technology in all three divisions. In the Fund-a-Need portion of the live auction, we successfully raised enough money to purchase a laser engraver, a 3D printer, and programmable robots. All of these items will be here in time for the 2015-2016 school year.

Thank to the Auction bidders, donors, volunteers, and supporters who made the event the success it was. Thank you especially to Auction Gala Co-Chairs, Patricia Portabales, Jessica Purdy, Lisanne Kandiah, and Erica Siegal. We could not have done it without you and the entire Auction Committee! The energy in the room was fantastic, and Auctioneer Bill Jacob did an amazing job keeping the bids coming in quickly!

Head of School Judy Guild honored Lower School Head Thomas Fuller for 21 years of service to the School saying, “Thomas came to Brimmer and May in 1994...His references talked about how he put in long hours to do whatever was needed so his students would be well served. Mr. Fuller has not changed. I can say the same today of him. A man of strong character and with high standards for personal integrity, this has not wavered over the two decades we have worked together. . . . Thomas is a child-centered person, and I see evidence of this as he interacts with the many students for whom he is responsible. He helps students through difficulties, listens to their worries, makes time for them as they learn new content and try new skills, and attends all of their events. Mr. Fuller is their number one cheerleader. . . .”
