Who: ages 7-11 (entering 2nd-6th grade)
STEAM into Summer will offer campers hands-on, interactive science, technology, engineering, art, and math activities designed to engage their creativity and ability to problem-solve. Students will build and test marshmallow bridges, design and race waterproof boats, and program Lego Mindstorm robotic cars to navigate the Brimmer hallways, through student-designed obstacle courses. Each morning, students will tackle an exciting new challenge, working individually and in groups to construct and evaluate their creations. In the afternoons, students will explore the concepts behind their projects, hear from a visiting expert in science and engineering, and take a field trip to Boston to explore the Museum of Science. This experiential, inquiry-based STEAM camp will be run by Lower School teacher Molly Serventi-Gleeson. Start your summer by exploring, inventing, and creating!
