Realizing the Vision Campaign Launches!

On Wednesday, January 20, the Brimmer community took part in a special day of celebration to kick off the Campaign for Brimmer—Realizing the Vision with students and faculty from all three divisions of the School participating. The Campaign will fund a 2-story addition to the Chase Building for new classrooms, dining commons, lobby, science, innovation, and collaborative space.  It has already funded refurbishments to the Thompson Gymnasium. It will also fund a targeted endowment for Faculty Innovation and improved parking. “We are delighted by the response of the Brimmer Community to the Realizing the Vision Campaign. I am thrilled to announce that to date we have made incredible progress securing commitments of more than $5.8 million towards a total of $7.5 million needed,” declared Head of School Judy Guild at the kick off event during Middle and Upper School morning meeting. The students enjoyed seeing the new plans, hearing about the future, and eating the Realizing the Vision cookies at Lunch.

 

Guided by The Strategic Priorities for 2013 and Beyond, the Board of Trustees first developed a new Campus Building Plan. In October of 2014, they voted to undertake a $7.5 million campaign to fund these priorities and make the urgent mandate of the community a reality, launching Realizing the Vision— the Campaign for Brimmer.
