The Gator Wins Top National Prize

Congratulations to The Gator staff for winning their 4th consecutive prestigious national award for overall excellence from the Columbia Scholastic Press Association, showcasing the newsroom's dedication and hard work.

Gator Adviser David Cutler '02 says, "already holding a Silver Crown, the students are now hopeful for the coveted Gold Crown—competing with about 25 top school news sites nationwide. No matter what transpires, this nomination itself is a significant achievement in scholastic journalism. Having previously won two Silvers and a Gold, the team is eager to add another Gold to their collection. The results will be revealed at Columbia University's spring convention over March Break, which I plan to attend. This recognition goes beyond the newsroom, reflecting the collective support and inspiration from all who contribute to our students' education. It's a resounding endorsement of our commitment to fostering critical thinking and lifelong learning."
