Brimmer vs. Gann

Varsity Boys’ Lacrosse
Brimmer 6     Gann 11

The Brimmer Varsity Boys Lacrosse team looked impressive for a good deal of the first half against visiting Gann Academy, with Brimmer opening up a 3-0 lead, but eventually Gann's steady play overtook them and Gann broke things open in the second half. Co-captain Liam Johannson '17 was immense in goal for Brimmer with ten tough saves and a never-say-die attitude. Offensive leaders who shined were co-captain Andre Mitrano '18 (3 goals) and Jared Heller '19 (3 goals, 1 assist), both contributing gritty performances despite playing with injuries. Additional assists were recorded by co-captain Tyler Best '18 (2), Ben Ernest '19 and Steven Ramsdan '19.  Heller and Alex Dolan ’17 led the team in ground balls, while Dashuan Simon ‘18 anchored the defense once again. Miles Best '20 impressed while registering his most playing time to date on the midfield line. This youthful team continues to garner experience and demonstrate noteworthy team spirit despite the setback.
