Welcome! We are pleased you are taking the time to get to know us. Our students develop the essential skills of critical thinking and problem solving, supported by creativity and collaboration, preparing them for our rapidly evolving world.
Take a closer look at our divisions, programs, and resources, which purposefully support the development of thinkers and doers for a complex, multicultural, high-tech, and increasingly interconnected modern world.
Every student should have a chance to reap the benefits of being physically active, experience the joys of teamwork, and feel rewarded by individual skill improvement.
Inspire others. Make a difference in the quality of the Brimmer experience. Join a community of donors that helps us to maintain excellence today and secure a vision for the future.
In response to the various ways that COVID-19 is affecting members of our Brimmer community, we have created a special fund within the Annual Fund called the Brimmer Community Fund.
The study of music increases higher order thinking skills, builds self-esteem, and encourages self-discipline and commitment. Brimmer’s After School Music Program provides quality musical instruction and seeks to strengthen music appreciation and literacy. Students in PK - Grade 12 have the opportunity to take private instrumental and voice lessons on our campus. They receive a music education tailored to their individual needs based on their interest, age, and personal goals. In addition, lessons are designed to support students who are committed to participating in our band ensembles.
At the end of the school year all musicians are encouraged to share their talents with their families at a recital on campus. Each program highlights the accomplishments of emerging Lower School musicians playing on stage with accomplished Upper School musicians. It is an opportunity for families to celebrate the hard work of their own musician and to support the growth of all the enthusiastic musicians in our community.
The After School Music staff, of more than a dozen highly qualified musicians and educators, is hand-selected based on recommendations from the professional music community. Many hold graduate degrees in music performance or music education. Most importantly, all of the instructors have experience working with children.
All lessons during the 2020-2021 school year will be online.
As an inclusive community, Brimmer welcomes students who will increase the diversity of our school.
