Senior Week

The seniors recently enjoyed special programming geared towards preparing them for College life. Each day the students arrived at 10:30 a.m. to hear an outside speaker(s) address a specific topic relevant to entering college freshman.
  • On Monday, they heard the former VP for Student Affairs and Dean of Students at Brandeis University, Rick Sawyer, discuss campus life and how students can navigate their way through problems and general questions while on campus.
  • On Tuesday, Brimmer graduates returned from Brown, Johns Hopkins, Virginia Tech, Colby, Amherst, and Lehigh to share their college experiences and how they navigated their way through freshman year.
  • The next day they heard John Tarbox, Managing Director of Beacon Hill Staffing, and Cassie Abodeely, attorney, and current Brimmer Summer Camp Director, discussing Resume Writing and Interviewing Do's and Don'ts.
  • Thursday's topic was Personal Finances, presented by Shauna Pendleton, Santander Bank Officer and Business Development Manager, who instructed the students on the basics of checking accounts, debit and credit cards, identity protection, and money management.
  • The week ended with Technology Information and was presented by Michael Langlois, Brimmer Director of Technology, and Lisa Collins, Executive Director of B Your Brands Communications.
Each presentation was followed by a special luncheon.
