Varsity Tennis vs The Newman School

The Brimmer Boys Tennis Team played an exciting match with Newman and just got beaten, losing by 3-2. Captain Sam Ravina '17 won at #1 singles 8-4 and Olivier Khorasani '20 won at #2 by 8-1.  Eddie Shi '20 got behind, but came storming back and just got edged out, 6-8.  At #2 doubles, Dieter Gartner '22 and Asher Jaeckel '22 played a tough match, but fell 4-8.  And then came Jeff Wu '18 and Alex Li '20 at #1 doubles, and they played the match of the season.  They played their best tennis of the year and were up 6-3, but Newman held on and overcame 4 match points to force a tie-breaker.  That went down to the wire, too, and Newman just pulled it off at 7-5. In a friendly match, Luke Moskowitz '21 had a good match against the top two Newman sincles players, fighting hard all  the way and only losing 2-8.
