Brimmer vs CH-CH

The gators brought their game faces today to play Chapel Hill in the first home game of the season. Coming off of a win against Landmark last week, the girls looked to build on their success and play hard against today's  opponent. Starting off slow, the Gators gained momentum in the first half of the game and continued intense and composed play into the second half. Sophia Gomez led the team with 5 goals, followed by Sade Latinwo with 3, Hannah Ahearn with 2 and Ava Bruening and Kaitlyn Anderson each with one goal apiece.

In the midfield, Angeline Nur Dervisevic, Sade, Ava and Kaitlyn worked hard to double team and were able to make a few interceptions and gain possession again.

Defensively, Brimmer worked hard to communicate and shift play, holding CH-CH at bay for the entirety of the game. Anchored by captain, Rebecca Calhoun, the defense employed good defensive positioning to protect their goalies from oncoming shots. Chloe Cochener and Cora Williams worked hard in goal, earning multiple saves for the gators.

The Gators look ahead to their next game away at Gann on Tuesday.
