The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane

Nick Malakhow
We hope that everyone in the Brimmer community comes to see the Middle School play, The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane. It is the story of Edward Tulane, a vain porcelain rabbit doll who is doted on by a young girl named Abilene. On an ocean voyage, Edward is accidentally tossed overboard. From there, he goes on a 20 year journey, meeting an assortment of characters along the way—including a hobo and his dog, a lonely couple, and a poor young boy and his ailing sister—who teach Edward the importance of looking beyond one's own selfish needs and material possessions. Based on Kate DiCamillo's book of the same name, the play touchingly deals with the importance of love, friendship, home, and coping with and healing from loss.
Presented in the Ruth Corkin Theatre on Thursday, December 6 at 7 p.m. and Friday, December 7 at 5:30 p.m. Admission is free. If you have any questions, please contact the director, Nick Malakhow.
