End-of-Year Athletic Awards 2023

Athletic Director Brett Kelly opened the ceremony by acknowledging the 35 coaches (many who coached multiple seasons) of Brimmer’s 24 athletic teams this year, with special recognition to the Senior Administrative Team, the Maintenance Team, Strength and Conditioning Coach Kenneth Pitts, Lower School PE Teacher and Coach Jaime Lin, Athletic Trainer Larry Stahley, and Assistant Athletic Director and Coach Tom Nelson for their unwavering support of Brimmer Athletics throughout the year.

This year’s three inductees to the Alumni Athletic Hall of Fame—1972 Varsity Field Hockey Team, Jane Crocker ‘73, and AJ Reeves ‘18—were honored at this year’s Alumni Day Celebrations, and Mr. Kelly shared more about their incredible accomplishments with students and families during the Athletic Awards Ceremony, noting that “while all three inductees did some amazing things on the fields and courts, I was struck by how important the whole community was to all of their experiences, in spite of the 40 years between their time at Brimmer.”

In recognizing the collective contributions of our student-athletes throughout the year, Mr. Kelly reminded them of the valuable lessons they learn through their participation on Brimmer’s teams and encouraged them to continue learning from both the celebratory and challenging moments they experience as athletes as they strive to embody this year’s theme, Compete with Class.

Congratulations to our award winners and all of our student-athletes on a fantastic year!
