We Will Be The Change!

This past summer middle and upper school students had the chance to choose their summer reading books. To go along with the the school-year theme, Imagine. Question. Create., 6-12 graders read a memoir and came together in mixed groups to imagine a better world and question what actions we can take to create a just society. Later, in small collaborative groups, students created a fence installation (pictured). Wooden plaques fill each letter and describe a quality that each student brings to better their community. All of them are intertwined and connected, reflecting the strength and support of the community as a whole.

Director of Innovation and Design Kathryn Lee says, "I am thrilled to let you all know that our WE WILL BE THE CHANGE! installation is now on display in front of the school! Thank you to all the Middle and Upper School students and faculty who worked together to complete this impressive and meaningful project! Be sure to check it out at night, when the solar power lights will be twinkling! Enjoy!"
