GATORS TAKE DOWN TLC, 56-43

The Gators hosted The Learning Center on Friday, January 27, and came away with a great win 56-43. The entire team demonstrated a "never give up, never give in" performance. The Gators were up by ten points at the half. However, early on in the second half, TLC started shooting better and came within two points of Brimmer and May. The Gators regrouped and switched to a more aggressive defense and controlled the rest of the game by scoring eleven unanswered points. Jordan Rockland ’15 and Diana Chaves ’12 shut down the leading scorers on TLC in the second half. Outstanding rebounding by Maddie Volpe ’12 and Danielle Slichenmyer ’12 allowed the Gators multiple opportunities at the basket. Heather Gates ’13 led all scorers with 38 points, setting a new school record for points scored in a single game by a Varsity girls' player!
The Gators next game is away at Cambridge School of Weston on Monday, January 30. Tip-off is set for 5:15 p.m.
