B&M LOST TO MARIANAPOLIS, 66-56

The Brimmer and May boys’ hosted Double A opponent Marianapolis Prep. The game was a thriller from the start. Marianapolis played with tremendous size and athleticism and the Gators displayed their ability to play strong and competitive. The game went back and forth throughout the first 10 minutes of the game. Jake Fay ’13 knocked down two early 3-point shots and helped spark Brimmer on a scoring run to take the lead by nine. Marianapolis called a time-out and regrouped and they went on a 9-1 scoring run. The Gators led the score at halftime 29-28.
In the second half, Marianapolis came out strong and Kachi Nzerem hit three 3-point shots to push the lead by 10 points. Brimmer did not let down and continued to play hard with two great drives by Justin Turner ’12 to cut the lead to 6 points with one minute left on the clock. The Gators could fell short of surging a come back and lost 66-56. Another great showing by the team, but they ran out of gas having played their third game in five days. High scorers of the game were Adrian Oliveria ’13 with 22 points and KJ Baptiste ’13 with 12 points.
