Students Attend "Asian American Footsteps" Conference

In April, Milton Academy hosted a conference for Asian and Asian American high school students who attend independent schools in New England. It was titled "Asian American Footsteps: Finding Our Own Path." The keynote speaker was Wesley Yang a contributing editor at New York Magazine.

Several students, along with Diversity Director Runeko Lovell and Mandarin teacher Yuhong Xu, attended the conference. The day-long event consisted of a performance, a keynote address, lunch, and two workshops, which covered topics including Asian American history, anti-Asian violence, interracial relations and biracial identity, and college life.
