GATORS BEAT MILTON 52-43

The Brimmer and May Varsity Boys beat Milton Academy 52-43. It was a tough back and forth match-up throughout the first half. Milton’s 6'10'' Alec Brennan, who is ranked 10 in the New England region, was going to be a daunting defensive challenge for the Gators. John Powell ’13 played solid defense on Brennan and contributed 17 points while grabbing numerous rebounds to keep the Gators ahead. Brimmer and May went into halftime up by two points. In the second half, Brimmer and May made a few adjustments and pressed Milton to cause some steals and build a ten-point lead. That advantage stayed constant most of the half until Milton went on a 5-0 scoring run. Adrian Oliveira ’13 answered back and scored a timely basket to move the Gators’ advantage back to 11. Adrian scored 13 points in the game. Sammy Mojica ’14 also chipped in with 13 points.
