Brimmer and May Kitchen Information
In the Brimmer and May kitchen we work hard to provide the students and faculty with high quality, delicious, and healthy foods for snacks and lunches. Here are some highlights of what we serve from the Brimmer and May kitchen!

We offer:
  • Popular kid favorites prepared from scratch such as: Macaroni and Cheese, Sweet and Sour Chicken, & Chicken Pot Pie Stew with a Homemade Biscuit 
On the salad & deli bars:
  • Homemade gluten-free salad dressings including Ranch, Balsamic, & Sweet
  • Poppy Seed
  • Hormel Natural Choice deli meats – nitrate and nitrite free, no preservatives
  • Homemade, whole-grain salads including quinoa, wheat berry, and couscous salads
  • Homemade garlic and roasted pepper hummus (and special deli bar condiments)
  • Organic yogurt with homemade low-sugar, nut-free granola 
Available daily:
  • Maine’s Own Organic Milk (MOO Milk) & Garelick DairyPure® Milk
  • Whole-grain breads and wraps from Nashoba Brook Bakery & La Ronga Bakery
  • Gluten-free bread and rolls for those with gluten-intolerance (with nurse’s
  • approval)
  • Vegetarian hot lunch options such as roasted organic tofu, black bean fajitas, & veggie burgers
  • Daily fresh whole fruits for students – bananas, local apples, pears, etc.
  • Drink machine with 100% fruit juice, vitamin-enhanced water and cold filtered water 
Throughout the year:
  • Antibiotic-free chicken breasts and chicken tenders
  • Cage free eggs for our “breakfast for lunch” and homemade baked goods
  • Local New England produce including: potatoes, butternut squash, carrots and apples
  • Whole grain pasta and brown rice
  • Hand-cut roasted potatoes for MS & US snack
  • Homemade blueberry muffins & banana bread for MS & US snacks
  • B.good Burgers – 100% ground beef (no fillers) cooked in the Brimmer kitchen 
What we DON’T serve:
  • Peanuts or tree nuts (we offer sunflower seed butter)
  • White pasta
  • Frozen or canned prepared meals
