Varsity Boys' Basketball vs The MacDuffie School

The Gators returned home after playing several weekend tournaments over the break and lost to a very talented MacDuffie team. Freshman AJ Reeves impressed the many college coaches who were in attendance. AJ led the Gators in scoring with 21 points while junior Mark Gasperini chipped in with 17 including a thunderous put back dunk which had the whole gym buzzing. Brimmer and May trailed by as many as 13 in the first half but battled back and cut the lead to 3 at halftime on a deep three pointer by junior Adam Mikula. The Gators played hard in the second half but it wasn’t enough to pull out the win. MacDuffie big man Omari Spellman showed his versatility by scoring in a variety of ways and led his team in scoring with 18 points.
