Mathematics
The mathematics program gives students the opportunity to be active participants in the learning process. Through the use of manipulatives, students explore concepts in a concrete way. They search for relationships and patterns from which they draw conclusions. They have the opportunity to work both individually and collaboratively and to share their approaches and insights. The mathematics program aims to enable students to appreciate the role of math in their lives, to work with confidence as they explore, and to take pleasure in the challenge of problem solving.
