Gators with a massive road win

Gators went on the road to play against Charles River School and continued the momentum from the team’s last game. Poli Tsiotos started off with a confident drive to the basket, splitting the defense and getting an easy bucket. Although the Gators energy was a little low in the first half, the offense continued to move well without the ball and the team kept making the right passes and finding the open player. The energy sparked both on the court and on the bench when Poli Tsiotos hit a beautiful step back three, and the Gators went into halftime up 22-4. Yasmine Demeter came out in the second half with a newfound confidence, crashing the boards and getting multiple offensive rebounds and put backs. Alexa Dykeman made a beautiful entry pass to Yasmine, who posted up and laid one up off the glass. With a few minutes left in the game, Poli drove hard down the lane and kicked the ball out to Shira Listokin who swished a long two-pointer, solidifying the team’s lead. The Gators chemistry was palpable on the court, the bench was roaring with support, and the team never let up on defense. The final score was 35-8. Yasmine Demeter ended with 8 points and Polio Tsiotos had a season high of 20 points.
