Sports have been a significant part of Lindsay’s life for as long as she can remember. Lindsay was a multi-sport varsity high school athlete in soccer, basketball, and lacrosse. She was an all-conference soccer player, all-state basketball and lacrosse player. She was also a McDonald’s All-American nominee and Connecticut Gatorade Player of the Year nominee. She earned a full scholarship to play Division 1 basketball at Bucknell University, where as a scholar athlete she was a captain for two years, as well as part of the Academic All-Conference team her senior year. Lindsay graduated from Bucknell University with her degree and certification in Elementary Education and English as Second Language (ESL). After college Lindsay continued her basketball career and played professional basketball overseas (Bulgaria & Australia). While overseas as a professional basketball player, she also had the opportunity to coach and mentor youth teams.

 

After retiring from her professional basketball career, Lindsay returned to the United States to begin her teaching and coaching career at Brunswick School in Greenwich, CT. She was the Head JV Boys’ Basketball Coach as well as a 2nd and 4th grade teacher where she was for two years. Most recently, Lindsay was the Associate Head Boys’ Varsity Basketball Coach at Landon School in Bethesda, Maryland, where she also taught 3rd grade for three years. In addition, Lindsay holds a master’s degree from Teachers College, Columbia University in Computing in Education.

 

She teaches Third Grade at Brimmer in addition to being the Head Girls’ Varsity Basketball Coach. Her focus as a coach and mentor is to empower the female athletes at Brimmer. She is very passionate about giving back to the sport that has given her so many opportunities.
