Allison Damon

Allison is a Boston based trumpeter and educator whose performances have been said to be 'executed with golden tone' (Boston Classical Review). Dedicated to performing the music of our time and working closely with composers to bring new works into existence, she has performed with the Callithumpian Consort, the Longy Electronic Ensemble, and Ensemble Uncaged and she is a founding member of TinySeeds, a collective of like minded musicians working together to create a new repertoire for their unique instrumentation.

Also a performer of the traditional repertoire, Allison plays in the Charles River Brass Quintet and New Philharmonia Orchestra and has held positions in the Du Bois Orchestra and Boston Festival Orchestra, Seattle Collaborative Orchestra, North Corner Chamber Orchestra, the Northwest Mahler Festival Orchestra, and the Rainier Symphony.

Allison holds a M.M. from the Longy School of Music of Bard College, where she was the recipient of the 2019 Patricia Sherman award and holds a B.A. from Seattle Pacific University. Her primary instructors have been Andy Kozar, Brian Chin, Rudolf Amon, Dave Bamonte, and Jim Kvech.
