K & Gr. 1 Celebrate 100 Days of School

Kindergarteners celebrated the 100th day of School on February 23. Adorned in their beautiful "Hip Hip Hooray! It's the 100th Day!" crowns, they read the book Happy 100th Day! and colored 100 objects on the number 100.  As part of the Kindergarten 100 Museum, each student collected and displayed 100 objects, ranging from beads to pasta to art supplies.

1st graders also held a 100th Day of School celebration in February. They created a 100th Day store, and students were given 100 pennies to spend on a food item. Each “purchase” was then contributed to a 1st grade donation for the Greater Boston Food Bank. Children filled out a math related reflection sheet, and their leftover pennies were put in a "Pennies for Puppies" jar to be donated to the MSPCA.
