Social Innovators at Brimmer

We are very excited to announce a new partnership with The University of Pennsylvania School of Social Policy and Schoolyard Ventures to bring the Social Innovators program to Brimmer for 10th, 11th, and 12th graders! The Social Innovators Program allows students to learn about entrepreneurship and experience it first-hand while earning a Certificate in Social Entrepreneurship.

Students are encouraged to find something that sparks their curiosity and to use intrinsic motivation as the basis for developing an entrepreneurial mindset. During the program, they learn how to launch ventures of their own that create value and a positive impact on society.

The twelve-week online program includes engaging interviews and case studies. Because students choose their own projects, each student’s experience in the program is unique to their interests and goals. Schoolyard Ventures has helped students launch ventures ranging from tech companies and fashion retailers, to community-based non-profits and social movements.

Congratulations to our first group of enrolled students: Sophia B. ‘23, Talia H. ‘24, David K. ‘22, Kieran C. ‘23, Thomas G. ‘23, Natalie K. ‘23, Edan Z., ‘23, Lilianna P. ‘23, Sevak G. ‘23, and Kate H. ‘23!
