Holocaust Survivor Irene Zisblatt Spoke at Brimmer and May

Hungarian Holocaust survivor Irene Zisblatt was only 13 when she and her family were uprooted from their home and taken to the Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp. Irene visited Brimmer and May on May 3 to give a talk entitled, "Memories Retrieved and Truths Revealed: the miracle of my survival" to the Upper School students, faculty, and staff. After the talk, she signed her book and met with students and staff.
Irene travels all over the world and shares her story "to teach future generations about the past so they can learn for the future." Irene's memoir, The Fifth Diamond: The Story of Irene Weisberg Zisblatt, recounts her incredible story of survival.
