BASEBALL ADVANCES TO MBIL CHAMPIONSHIP FINALS

The Varsity Baseball Team beat Newman Prep, 16-1, in a showing of true domination on the baseball field Thursday afternoon. With Nate Cappuccino pacing the young Gators on the mound, pitching the first four innings giving up only two hits and striking out nine Newman hitters, there was no doubt that Brimmer was as focused as they had been all season. Brimmer took the early lead, going up 2 -0 in the 2nd inning but Newman Prep scored a run in the top of the 3rd inning to make it a 2-1 game. However, the Gators took over in the 4th inning scoring 13 runs on timely hitting by Keenan and Quinn Iuliano, Max Mueffelmann, Stan Barlow, and Kevin Gates. Every player in the line-up got on base and scored a run in that inning. Quinn Iuliano came in to shut the door and close out the game in the top of the 5th, giving the Gators a chance to play for the championship tomorrow afternoon at CSW at 3:45.
