3rd Grade's "Flat Stanley" Returns from The White House!

The third grade sent out 28 "Flat Stanleys" to friends and relatives around the world, and even to President Obama. In January, Flat Stanley came back from his trip to The White House with a letter from the President describing what they did together. Some of the activities included walking the halls of the West Wing, joining the President for meetings in the Oval Office, studying the artwork and beautiful rooms and playing catch with the First Dog, Bo.

This letter-writing activity was inpired by the 1964 children's book Flat Stanley by Jeff Brown.
