Brimmer and May Golf Defeats Chapel Hill-Chauncy Hall 2-1 in Season Finale

Andrew Kassis '15 sank a clutch five foot putt on the 9th and final hole to clinch his match 1 up and simultaneously securing the team's victory 2-1 for the Brimmer and May golf team against Chapel Hill-Chauncy Hall on Wednesday at Leo J. Martin Golf Course in Weston. The win gave Kassis a 2-1 individual record for the season and gave the Gators their first win of the season to end the year at 1-2. Kassis held off his charging opponent in the later holes to set up the dramatic putt on the 9th hole.

Josh Finn '15 put together his most consistent match of the season to defeat his opponent 4 and 3 in the #2 match. Finn drove the ball extremely accurate all afternoon and followed that up with and impressive short game to give the Gators a much needed point.

Mark Buchanan '13 again was faced with the tall task of taking on a talented senior CH-CH golfer in the #1 match, who came into his final high school match with an undefeated career record. Buchanan came out of the gates flying, winning the first hole and nearly winning the third hole but the upset wasn't meant to be, ultimately being defeated 4 and 3.
