Girls' Varsity Soccer vs Cambridge School of Weston

The Brimmer and May Varsity Girls' Soccer season ended in a heartbreaking 3-2 loss in penalty kicks to The Cambridge School of Weston in the league semi-finals.  During regulation play, the Gators had numerous scoring opportunities, and kept the offensive pressure on CSW while maintaining their defensive composure.  CSW managed to score one goal scored off of a corner kick, but the Gators came back to tie it with an impressive goal from captain defensive player Ruth Wooster '14.  Wooster may have played the game of her career.  She had a stellar performance of leadership, focus, intensity, skill, and endless hard work – all qualities that have defined her as a player throughout this season.  After playing a full, regulation game and two over-time, golden goal periods, the team was faced with penalty kicks to determine whether they move on to play in the league final. Sophie Lapat '18, earned one of the Gators two goals in the penalty kick round. Rebecca Calhoun '19, garnered the other penalty kick goal. The Gators proved to be a true force during this 2013 season, as they learned to play hard, to play tough, and to play together.
