Math Teacher Miriam Gates Presented at Conferences

Miriam Gates, a Brimmer and May math teacher and Research Associate at the Waltham-based Education Development Center, Inc., recently presented at two research conferences, one for the National Council for Teachers of Mathematics (NCTM) and the other for the National Council for Supervisors of Mathematics (NCSM). At NCTM she and a colleague spoke at Assessing Student Ability and Inclination to Use and Mathematical Practice Standards in Action: Classroom Strategies for Implementation. At NSTM she and colleagues spoke at Supporting Teachers in the Integration of the Standards for Mathematical Practice and Content in Algebra and Measuring Secondary Teachers' Use of Standards for Mathematical Practice.
