  • Importance of Community Service

Beginning last year, students in the LS visited Rose’s Bounty, a local food pantry where they help organize, bag, and box food goods for pick up. We continued our partnership with them, and now this year each grade level visits Rose’s Bounty twice a year.
  • The Importance of Collaboration

  • Summer Work

I often hear from those who aren’t teachers how great it is to be a teacher because of having summers off.  Contrary to the misconception that teachers simply relax during these months, many dedicate substantial time to refining their teaching practices.
  • Collaboration in ColLabs

Spring has also brought colLabs to the upper elementary grades. It has been a privilege to see the students in action and see what is explored through cross-grade level collaboration.

    Focus on LS Math

  • Empathy Task Force in LS

Students from the youngest age know what it means to be empathetic. At Brimmer, our faculty and students are dedicated to helping one another. Empathy is at the core of everything we do each school day.

  • Building Community and Connections

The beginning of a school year brings promise of new relationships, new learning, and new routines. My own children demonstrated their eagerness for the school year to begin by preparing their backpacks days before the first day of school.
