Brimmer Falls to Newman in tight contest

Leading off at #1 Singles Aaron MacLean ran up against the best player in the League: a thunderous serve, ability to hit winners from any place on the court, and got lost 0-8.  Aaron showed good counters, never backed down, and hit well.
At #2 singles Zahin Kapoor came up against another big hitter.  Zahin played a long and tough game, making good recoveries and good gets, but also was beaten 0-8.  Marco DeMelo played at #3 singles and found himself against a really steady opponent.  He played tough but everything he hit came back and he lost 2-8.
Doubles did well, highlighted by a win at #1 Doubles from Captain Dieter Gartner and Ray Park.  They used strong and well-placed returns and aggressive net play to win 8-2.  The toughest match of the day was played at #2 Doubles by James Wang and Kai Wen, who went back-and-forth with good winners, long rallies, and tenacious points, only to come up short by a score of 6-7.  At #3 Doubles Neal Kumar and DJ Quarles got B&M back into the win column with a 7-3 victory.
