Dear Brimmer Families,
I hope this letter finds you enjoying this beautiful New England fall, and your children are having a wonderful school year.
After 10 incredible years, I have stepped down as the Brimmer Summer Camp Director to pursue a new and very different opportunity at the Bronx District Attorney's Office in New York City. While I’m excited for what lies ahead, it is difficult to say goodbye to the Brimmer community.
Over the 10 summers, I have met hundreds of families and thousands of children. I have witnessed their uniqueness and the magic that each child brings to camp. With our camp team, I aimed to build a kind and nurturing community where all children belong and where each child discovers something special about themselves. With that team I laughed for hours, tried and failed and tried again, and learned lessons I will rely on forever.
I wish I could have reached out to each of you individually to reminisce about the countless summer adventures with your children and to thank you. It has been an honor and a privilege to know your children and to be a part of their camp experiences. I am so grateful to each of you for trusting us, and me, with them.
Brimmer is a special place that will continue to engage, appreciate, and empower campers for many summers to come. I am lucky to have been a part of it.
Thank you all for making these past 10 years so special. And for the last time, have a great Brimmer and May Day!
With gratitude,
Cassie Abodeely
